KAROL G Teams Up With Spotify and FC Barcelona To Release Special Matchday Shirts, Merchandise Collection, and Matchday Playlist

Spotify is once again bringing together record-breaking legends from the worlds of music and football. This time, with KAROL G, the most-streamed female Latin music artist globally four years in a row on Spotify.

FC Barcelona Femení will be the first to wear KAROL G’s special matchday shirt—which features the artist’s signature barbed wire heart logo—when it faces off against Villarreal Femenino on April 13. The following weekend, the men’s team will also wear the shirt for its El Clásico showdown on April 21. 

 

This shirt swap with KAROL G is celebrating those who change the game, overcome barriers, and leave a legacy for the next generation to express themselves on and off the pitch, as well as the stage. 

“The heart symbol represents what became BICHOTA style—a moment in my life where I found strength, resilience and support,” Karol G said. “Thanks to Spotify and FC Barcelona, seeing it on the front of a shirt that inspires so much of that same energy is truly meaningful.

KAROL G—like FC Barcelona players—has been an inspiration for fans, and her success has been key in taking Latin music to new heights worldwide. With three songs in the Spotify Billions Club, KAROL G also set a record with her album MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO, setting the single-day record for the most-streamed Latin album by a female artist. Together, Spotify and FC Barcelona will celebrate the individuality, passion, and loyalty of football and music fans alike—Barça or “BICHOTA” style.

The limited-edition shirt is available for fans to purchase via the FC Barcelona Store. Inspired by the club’s founding year, there will be 1899 exclusive jerseys for sale. Additionally, for superfans, the site will offer a very special collection of 22 jerseys signed by the starting men’s and women’s team players.

Spotify, FC Barcelona, and KAROL G are also launching a limited-edition lifestyle merchandise collection featuring T-shirts, hoodies, scarfs, beanies, and water bottles. The imagery brings together the vibrant, playful world of KAROL G and the passionate, energetic world of FC Barcelona—celebrating how fandom inspires us to show our colors. The merchandise can be purchased via KAROL G’s official store.

Finally, FC Barcelona has created a special edition of the popular Barça Matchday playlist on Spotify featuring themed songs to motivate the players and fans in the build-up to the game, along with music from KAROL G. Fans who stream the This Is KAROL G playlist will also see the megastar in her special FC Barcelona shirt.

Spotify and FC Barcelona are continuing to bring music and football together like never before, and KAROL G is the latest artist to be featured on the iconic FC Barcelona jersey with Spotify, following previous shirt takeovers from artists like The Rolling Stones.
